De waarde van de grote schat
A downloadable game
This is a game I made for religion class to explore what it means to value something. This is mostly done by making (hard) decisions or being confronted with different value systems.
What would someone value who lives exclusively deep in mines? What gems and gold would they give for a flower, or a feather, which they never get to see otherwise? Or will you save the person caught in the abnormally large spiderweb, even if it endangers your own life? Do you hurry towards your treasure location, or take time to partake in the hospitality offered by farmers?
There is nothing overtly religious to the game itself, but is meant to be pared with biblical texts about value in my lesson plans with kids age 10-11.
Currently there's only a Dutch variant available. Interest has been shown for an English translation, which I hope to achieve eventually. Currently I'm focussing on developing the game itself more though. I've already received some good feedback by from the Dutch Speaking community.
